Holmium laser prostate ablation is a type of laser surgery used to treat obstruction of urinary flow due to an enlarged prostate. In men with BPH, the prostate is not cancerous but enlarged. BPH can cause many urinary symptoms, including frequent urination, inability to urinate, difficulty starting to urinate, and loss of bladder control.
