The ureters are two muscular tubes that carry urine from the kidneys to the bladder. Your bladder stores your urine. The bladder cuff is a small piece of tissue where the ureter connects to the bladder. A nephroureterectomy is a surgery to remove the renal pelvis, the kidney, the entire ureter, and the bladder cuff. Your renal pelvis is a funnel-shaped structure in the center of each kidney. It collects urine and directs it through the ureters.
